Experimental documentary
In the stifling heat, Paris and Marseille intertwine to form a single city, linked by recurring motifs: the artificial lights of the night, the sea churned by the Mistral, the cries of seagulls echoing through both cities, but above all, a mysterious metallic fabric forming underwater, on the asphalt, and floating in the air at the mercy of the wind. At night, the beam of light from the Eiffel Tower’s beacon stretches out toward the sea, initiating a sensory symbiosis in which the echoes of the two cities respond to one another. As dawn illuminates the connected city, the temperatures grow increasingly oppressive, and the sun approaches, relentless. Little by little, the urban space becomes deserted, consumed by the heat wave.
